Decorative designs
The way you install your flooring can affect the entire aesthetics of your kitchen. There are many different design combinations to choose from, depending on your tastes and inspiration.
Strips placed lengthwise make a room look longer. Placed widthwise, they make it look wider. However, it is vital to lay your floor in the same direction as the light entering the room,
and to take account of the size of the room if you are floating the floor. If it is more than 8 metres long, we recommend laying the floor lengthwise to give it stability. If you lay it widthwise, you will need a separating joint every 8 m.
Flooring can be laid in all kinds of patterns, from the simplest to the most elaborate, and you can also experiment with different shapes and species of wood.
When choosing your pattern, you should take account of the size of the room: some require a large area to achieve their full effect.
More complex designs require specific skills to execute, and we recommend having these installed by a professional.
