Finding the right maintenance product for your wood floor

Wood flooring is a warm material that elegantly adorns our homes. However, it is also a living material that requires regular and proper care with suitable maintenance products. Indeed, using a substance that is too aggressive or ineffective may cause it to lose its shine. Choose Panaget maintenance products, specially formulated to respect the finishes, whether they are oiled or lacquered.

How to maintain my Panaget wood floor

Opt for regular dusting with a vacuum cleaner (using a parquet-specific brush) or a soft broom.

For lacquered wood floors:

Cleaning is done with a microfiber cloth lightly dampened in a solution of cold water and Panaget Lacquered Wood Flooring Cleaner. The cleaner degreases, cleans, and revives lacquered wood floors, whether satin or matte. This cleaning should be done once a month at most to avoid any risk of soiling. Avoid abrasive products or those containing silicone.
You can apply a protective layer called Satin or Matte Wood Flooring Renovator (metallic) to regenerate the appearance of the lacquer and provide a protective film. Vacuum thoroughly before applying the renovator and follow the directions indicated on the can.

For oiled wood floors:

Cleaning is done with a microfiber cloth lightly dampened in a solution of cold water and Panaget Oiled Wood Flooring Soap. This is a gentle soap enriched with natural oils that protects the wood floor with each use and helps remove stains and dirt.
To avoid damaging your wood floor, it is recommended to perform this action only once a month to prevent soiling.
For annual maintenance, after dusting and washing your wood floor, spray Panaget Maintenance Oil on the floor and wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. For proper drying, ventilate the room and wait at least 4 hours before re-entering the room!

Partial renovation can be carried out on particularly damaged areas (cigarette burns, impacts, deep scratches, etc.). Lightly sand the area with steel wool or sandpaper to remove the damage. In a container, mix Panaget Renovation Oil to ensure a perfect color match for your oiled wood floor, then reapply the oil to the area with a brush or cotton cloth until the touch-up is concealed, gently polish to achieve the desired tone. Allow to dry for 8 hours; after 6 days, the oil will have reached its final hardness!

If you have just installed a Ulysse Teak pre-oiled wood floor, it is essential to apply a layer of Panaget Natural Maintenance Oil on the planks!

Natural products, such as baking soda or white vinegar, can attack the varnish or oil of your wood flooring: always test the mixture on a less visible part of it. To avoid any risk, you can use our Panaget product ranges, which are respectful of each of our wood floorings.
