What commitments do you give concerning the origins and traceability of your wood?
We comply fully with the European Union Timber Regulation, which requires manufacturers to ensure that their supplies are fully traceable and have been obtained legally. We have also been PEFC certified since 2002. This relates mainly to European timber, while FSC certification concerns species from the rest of the world. Certification is not about the intrinsic quality of the wood. It simply proves that it comes from sustainably managed forests, in accordance with local regulations. Certification provides added security, but uncertified wood does not necessarily come from badly managed forests. We operate a comprehensive system of supply chain management. The materials we use, certified or not, are traceable, sustainable and fully compliant with regulatory requirements.
This means we adhere to the three main pillars of sustainable development: environment, economy and society.
